E/6   LNER A3 Class 4-6-2 (2006)

Based on the A4 chassis with disc wheeled tender.  It is 3-rail with twin 12/24V DC motors (24AC to special order), each driving opposed spindles, power is transferred to all 3 axles through a series of gears.  All priced at £685.

The first ACE Trains ‘Flying Scotsman’ off the production line being presented by Allen Levy to George Hinchcliff, who was the Train Manager of the A3, who accepted on behalf of Mr Pegler. At the ACE Trains 10th Anniversary lunch at ACE Works near Leicester Nov. 20th 2005.
